Eric Pelly - OC Juvenile
2015-01-021995-2014
To all OC - heartbreaking news about a young man many of you may not have known, but who was an important part of our extended family. Eric and his volunteering parents have been with us since his first time playing as a little boy in Atom. He was on our new Juvenile team this season.
Our thoughts go out to David and Laurie, and all of Eric's friends and current/former teammates. It's been a tough few days for many of these 18-20 year olds.
His parents have asked me share this information:

Players on the OC Juvenile will have these stickers on their helmets. If you'd like one, please send me an email.

Message to his OC Juvenile team.
As most of you already know, our friend and teammate Eric Pelly passed away on December 31st.
I've spoken to Eric's parents, and they support continuing with the game on Sunday. Eric loved playing organized hockey and being part of a real team - it was a happy, safe and positive aspect of his life.
Please be ready to go on the ice a few minutes before 9pm. We'll have a very informal chat in memory of Eric, and both teams will have a brief moment of reflection prior to the game. I've had suggestions about ways to remember Eric as a part of our team this season, so feel free to bring forward any ideas. If you'd rather speak individually with me or Darren, just let us know.
