OCMHA SEASON A ROUSING SUCCESS - WHAT'S NEXT?
2014-04-02The 2013-14 season is over and it's been grand. Lets make it even better.
The 2013-2014 winter hockey season has come to a close and OCMHA can be proud of its collective performance and participation.
From thrilling games & last second goals to volunteers stepping up to save the day its been a great season and I want to thank all of the players, coaches, trainers, managers, converners, parents and sponsors for their efforts to make hockey great for our community.
Our task now is to make it even better.
I know our kids will do their part, playing their hearts out for that greatest of rewards ... the fun of it.
But what can we do to support them in this most noble endeavour? Be positive, cheer them on, thank the referee, volunteer to be a coach, a trainer, a manager.
As my first year as President winds up I have two main goals I'd like your help in achieving.
First, lets build the volunteer base of OCMHA. I saw many of the same people contributing their time this season and it would be great if we could have a few more hands to help lighten the load for all of us.
Second, lets build the fun factor. I want your input on everything from what new OCMHA jerseys could look like, to how games should be played, to how we can improve the scheduling so that hockey in our community works better for all of us.
Join me at our upcoming AGM, 8pm May 14th at the Firehall and help make OCMHA even better.
