Midget Scholarship and Other AGM Highlights
2010-05-01
The AGM went off without a hitch...OCMHA held its Annual General Meeting on April 28, at the Glebe Community Centre.
Members of the Association were treated to a review of the hockey year, a report on OCMHA finances (we look to be in good shape), some discussion about the future direction of minor hockey in Ottawa Centre, and a tense election for executive positions.
The highlight of the night was undoubtedly the awarding of the Midget Graduating Scholarship, awarded to an Ottawa Centre player in his or last year of eligibility, to Liam Copeland Dinan. Association President, Eric Lay, recognized the hiqh quality of all the applications, but said that the Selection Committee recognized that "Liam is a superb candidate for this award, and we were delighted to be able to recognize Liam's contribution to our hockey association and his community." Liam is attending Glebe Collegiate, and plans to study Law and Psychology in the fall.
Minutes and other goodies from the meeting can be found on the AGM page,
