This invite is for all current and future team staff (coaches, trainers, managers and others who may wish to volunteer).
It's short notice (teams have just been formed), but please try to drop-in to one of two sessions Monday evening Oct 5th at the Old Firehall (OOS CC on Sunnyside Avenue), preferably:
- 6:30pm to 8pm - IP, Novice and Atom
- 8pm to 9:30pm - Peewee, Bantam and Midget
This will be an informal online demonstration and discussion of our GL sites, and how we 'operate'.
Objectives will be to explain and show the:
- overall BMHL and OC GL structure of leagues, teams and participants
- links to other BMHL association GL sites
- linkages with HCR (Hockey Canada Registration)
- online help and support features
- security features and user profile setup
- * association pages and information *
- assignment of players and staff to teams
- management of team data
- efficient communication using team pages, emails and news articles
- game, practice and event scheduling
- calendar synchronization
- tips for uploading files, images, videos
- mobile features
- team attendance features
- linkages to external sites
* Members of the OC Executive will be in attendance if you have questions about team, association or league policies and practices *
Many of you have been using GL years, and this is an opportunity to share your experiences with our newer volunteers. I am by no means an expert and any feedback or your own 'tips and tricks' would be appreciated.
WiFi will be available, so please bring your laptop, tablet or other device.
I'll also be available after the OC Executive meeting at The Georgetown Pub Tuesday Oct 6th, so feel free to drop in from 9pm to 11pm for an informal repeat of the above.
I hope to see many of you on the 5th or 6th. We had a similar session in Oct 2014, and the feedback was positive!
