About the Association

trophy shotThe Ottawa Centre Minor Hockey Association is part of the Bytown Minor Hockey League, a house-level league which spans Ottawa Centre, Ottawa East, the West End, the South End, and Canterbury.

The OCMHA encompasses house league divisions that are tiered to allow players to play with children of similar skill levels. The house-league divisions are non-contact whereas the competitive divisions will allow body checking.

Our objectives are for our young players to have fun, improve their skills, and experience a co-operative team environment. In house league, each player has a place regardless of ability; each is an essential element of the team. We count on each player to make the league a success.

Parents, too, have a responsibility to encourage and support each child and to provide positive role models by demonstrating sportsmanlike behaviour, not only in our home arena, but also in other arenas. Please see the Fair Play Code for Parents on our website.

Please Remember, All Executive Members are Volunteers. Please do not call Executive Members after 9:30 in the Evening, or before 10:00 AM. Thank you. The Best way to reach an executive member outside these hours is through Email.
