Atom A Red Freds Win the Terrebonne Tournament

The OCMHA Red Freds were victorious at the 38th annual Terrebonne Atom A tournament. The team was challenged in the preliminary round by a very competitive pool, but were determined in their team play to reach the playoff round. In the semi-final game versus the Voltigeurs Mascouche, a goal in the last seconds of play by the Voltigeurs forced overtime. In spite of this setback, the Red Freds showed composure and resilience by securing a 3-2 victory in OT that sent them on to face the Mousquetaires Lachenaie in the championship game. In the final, the players were treated with excitement and fan fare complete with player introductions, a fog and light show, and the national anthem. The Red Freds play improved throughout the tournament, saving their best performance for the championship game (4-2 victory). There were contributions from the entire team including two short-handed goals on the same penalty kill in the second period, momentum building & turning point saves in the 3rd period, and a game winning top shelf goal from an end-to-end rush. Congratulations to the players on their outstanding performance!
