2020 Ottawa Year End Tournament in Support of the CHEO Foundation for Youth Mental Health

Important information about the 2020 Ottawa Year End Tournament in Support of the CHEO Foundation for Youth Mental Health

Dear OCMHA parents and players,

The OCMHA Executive is pleased to inform you that the full Ottawa Year End Tournament (OYET) is back this season. Dates are March 27-29, 2020 for Initiation and Novice (half ice fun games for ages 6,7,8), and April 3-5, 2020 for Atom thru Juvenile.

As we have done in past seasons, OCMHA fully supports OYET and in 2020 we are covering 100% of the entry fee. Please mark dates on your calendars and stay tuned for updates.

OYET has been expanded to benefit to local two charities: CHEO Youth Mental Health (through the RBC Race for the Kids) and Roger Neilson House.

Please contact oyet.chairman@bmhl.ca if you require additional information and/or would like to volunteer. Online team registration will be available soon.

One of the perks for all OYET 2020 participants is that they will receive a complimentary registration for the 2020 RBC Race for the Kids.

The RBC Race for the Kids in support of CHEO Youth Mental Health is a family-focused fun run held at Wesley Clover Park each September. Not only is the charitable cause more important than ever, but the timing of the race works well as it ties into the theme of “don’t play hockey to get in shape, get in shape to play hockey”.

In the meantime, the 2019 RBC Race for the Kids is happening this Sunday September 15th…If you are not participating in sort outs, you are encouraged to participate if it fits into your family schedule!
