The 2021-22 hockey season registration remains open. If you haven't already, please sign up as soon as possible to help us plan the first few weeks of ice. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to the rink soon!
COVID-19 Vaccination
We continue to watch the public health situation and recognize that more transmissible and dangerous variants of concern are contributing to a fourth wave of COVID-19 infections. However, it has become evident that the majority of recent COVID-19 cases are among those who are not yet fully vaccinated and that vaccines are the most promising way to end this pandemic.
OCMHA and its governing bodies have been meeting to discuss mandatory vaccination policies for players and volunteers and the impacts these policies could have on our programs. We are considering how to best protect our community, especially since our younger players (born after 2009) do not have the option to get a COVID-19 vaccine at this time. We will keep you updated as the work progresses in the coming days.
The OCMHA Executive thanks all families who are already fully vaccinated for protecting yourself, your loved ones and your (hockey) community. If you have not yet been fully vaccinated, and are able to, please visit Ottawa Public Health’s website for information and a list of the closest vaccine clinics.
