Good morning,

Last night the Bytown Minor Hockey League (BMHL) and Bytown District executive members met to discuss the evolving Covid situation.  Due to the uncertainty of rising cases, both in the community and within the BMHL, the five Associatons have decided to begin the Christmas break from games effective today, Friday, December 17th.

All games scheduled from December 17th to December 22nd will be rescheduled in the new year where possible.  Ice will be redistributed for use as practice ice and these practices will be full ice for a single team to limit the number of people on the ice and at the rink.

You will be hearing more about these days and times from your Association President and Coaches very soon. 

We hope to return to BMHL games as early as possible in January and we remain in contact with Hockey Eastern Ontario and Ottawa Public Health on best practices and protocols.  Keep visiting your association website and the Bytown District website to get up to date information.

These are difficult times and Bytown Hockey Executives are doing everything possible to make it as safe as possible while making sure kids can still get on the ice.
