Info for new coaches for the 2024-2025 season

Last season Bytown District had approximately 10 members who were not able to take the Coach 1 course because they did not have the following pre-requisite:

It is important to also note that all members who wish to coach, or be part of their team’s bench staff, must have a minimum:
· Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders
· Gender Identity Online Training
For Coach 1 and coach two, all members must have RIS Activity Leader and Gender ID:
The Coach 1 and Coach 2 will be made available on the Hockeyeasternontario.ca clinics website when they become available. Start looking around July 2024.

This online course is available until April 30th, 2024 and is a pre-requisite to the Coach 1 and Coach 2 courses. Without the course in your HCR list of qualifications, you will not be able to apply for Coach 1 or Coach 2.Taking the course now will eliminate delays in attending the Coach 1 or Coach 2 sessions that are set for August and September 2024.
