First, we all hope that everyone managed to enjoy their Christmas / holiday celebrations and took some time to recharge.

I am writing to provide an update on our District’s return to hockey plans. We had hoped to be back on the ice playing games next week but given the impact and transmissibility of this new variant, we have made the decision to extend our pause.  Our AA/A/B and House League Associations games are hoping to return to play between January 15th and 17th, depending on the league and the public health situation. 

Some Associations will continue with practices so please check with your respective websites or check in with coach/convenor/liaison.

We have seen how quickly things can and are changing and we will continue to take our lead from provincial and municipal public health authorities as well as our hockey governing bodies as they adapt/amend their protocols. 

If you have any questions, please reach out to the District or your Association Executive.  As we have said consistently, we strongly encourage everyone who can receive a vaccine, to do so as soon as possible.

We will provide a further update during the week of January 7th. 

We want to wish all of our players, coaches, volunteers and families a safe, happy and better 2022.
