Registration for 2023-2024 House League
Please do not register for house league if you are trying out for competitive hockey. Only register for house league hockey if you do not intend to try out for competitive hockey, have been released from all competitive teams or withdrawn from the competitive tryout process. All players that are released from the competitive tryouts will be assessed fairly and assigned to an appropriate level, house league teams are not finalized until after competitive teams complete their releases.
Financial Assistance:
At OCMHA we believe everyone should have the opportunity to play hockey, we recognize that it may be out of reach for some families without assistance. If finances are an issue, please contact the President (president@ocmha.ca), or Treasurer (treasurer@ocmha.ca) about programs that may be available to you. All inquiries will be treated in the strictest confidence.
First Time Players:
If you are registering a child in minor hockey that has never played organized hockey before, please ensure you live in the OCMHA catchment area prior to registering. < Confirm OCMHA Residence > If your address is in our catchment area, and you are registering for the first time, you will be asked to provide proof of date of birth, and confirmation of place of residence.
-
confirmation of date of birth (scan of birth certificate or similar),
-
confirmation of place of residence (scan of utility bill or similar),
-
parent(s) name(s), phone number and email, and an emergency contact name and phone number
Transferring Players:
If your child has played organized minor hockey outside of OCMHA, please contact registrar.ocmha@gmail.com to initiate a transfer from your previous organization before registering.
Collaboration with Ottawa East:
We believe it's crucial for players to be able play on teams approriate for their skill level. As we have seen a decline in Ottawa Centre and Ottawa East's numbers, we recognize that the two organizations are becoming too small to properly tier players into A, B, and C levels and to make teams of an appropriate size in all divisions.
